number of pci-e cables for 3 way sli

Hello there. I bought a cooler master silent pro gold 1200w a while ago and have been running two nvidia geforce gtx titans off it. I've recently purchased a third card, and as the psu only has 2 pci-e ports my questions are. Will i need a second psu to power the third card? Or is there a single pci cable or type of adapter that can supply power to two or three cards? Or additionally, is is possible to power it with a molex connector. Thankyou.

You can get adapters for the card although I am not sure with a card like a Titan how well that would work. You should check with the video card vendor.

Also did you check if your motherboard can run 3 cards in SLI?

Thanks. I will try that. Sorry if i'm not replying properly. This is my first time on toms hardware.
Yes my motherboard can run 4 way sli. I have the Asus rampage iv extreme with a 3970x.

I found the problem. There is two hard wired pci cables in addition to the two modular ones hidden behind the back wall from when i first built it. Derp.
