I have been getting many bsod crashes throughout this year, 11 in total which may have been all I’ve had on this computer since it was built in April 2018. Recent ones have been caused by ntoskrnl.exe with the latest 3 crashes “caused by address” of ntoskrnl.exe+3f6c20, ntoskrnl.exe+3f5e40 2 times in April, and ntoskrnl.exe+3f5c50 in March. Crashes before March had a crash address of ntoskrnl.exe+3f5a80 with different driver names and ntoskrnl.exe+3f5780 in Jan.

Originally I had an AMD Radeon HD 6870 and Kingston Hyperx DDR4-2666 2x4GB and then later added 2 more same sticks to make 4x4GB. I put in my brother’s EVGA GTX 1050ti superclocked as an upgrade, installing geforce experience on Sept.18, 2020. I swapped the ram with my brother’s Gskill DDR4-3200 2x8GB because he upgraded his motherboard and CPU around Jan. 3, 2021 (from my userbenchmark date). For drives, I added a Silicon Power m.2 nvme in Jan. 16, 2020 as an upgrade and mirrored my Kingston a400 ssd. I added a Seagate drive in Aug. or Sept. 2020 which came from a desktop that we didn’t use anymore and recycled.

Crashes have happened while I was running Roblox (always when I play “Ultimate Driving” but I don’t think a specific Roblox game has to do with crashing), on idle, looking at a webpage, running an android emulator, and maybe more. I noticed a pattern with the crashes happening in the middle of to later in the month, some happening days apart. No problems happened in May as you can see from my dump file dates.

Here's what I remember from when the crash happened.

Jan. 17, win32kfull.sys+155f86 - Might have been running Nox android emulator on Instagram maybe with browser open on webpages, felt like computer was under some load?

Feb. 21, tcpip.sys+75dcc - I can’t really remember this one but I might have been playing Roblox or browsing?

Feb. 22, dxgmms2.sys+b843 - I was playing Roblox at the time as I remember having what seems to be directx crashes and it was dark early morning which was pretty scary.

Feb. 26, dxgmms2.sys+db4e - Similar to Feb. 22 pretty much, but I think I had lights on so it maybe wasn’t as freaky. Looked around online for discussions, found that it might be a graphics driver issue. Clean install Nvidia game ready drivers, no directx crashes since.

Mar. 31, ntoskrnl.exe+3f5c50 - Probably playing Roblox, middle of night. Tried to look around online for discussion, heard about memtest, so I downloaded it and ran it in 2 copies 3gb sizes during the day while I was away with no problems, ran memtest built into windows and had no problems after checking event log.

Apr. 18, ntoskrnl.exe+3f5e40 - Playing roblox again I believe and crashed in middle of the game.

Apr. 23, ntoskrnl.exe+3f5e40 - left computer on idle around dinner time, came back to computer on lockscreen from being rebooted, check bluescreenview and found a crash.

Apr. 25, FLTMGR.SYS+57d8 - Playing GTA 5, tabbing in and out of the game and web browser, at some point at the beach near the pier there was audio corruption-like screeching and loud static which I recorded, weird and scary, tried to see if audio was working on other programs, played video on browser which I could hear quietly so that means audio was happening only in GTA 5 application. Closed the game by force exit, start game again from steam, computer crashed while loading.

Jun 16, ntoskrnl.exe+3f6c20 - After having no problems for over a month and a half, computer crashed while Roblox was running. Since the crash happened at around 6, I was using my computer at 5 to maybe around 5:50 which was when I left the game and computer idle until I come back at around maybe 6:15 to see my computer at lockscreen/had rebooted. Check bluescreenview and see a crash

Jun. 17, ntoskrnl.exe+3f6c20 - Web browsing on wikipedia and computer crashes suddenly. Clean install game ready driver after this crash and checked for windows updates which was up to date.

Jun. 19, ntoskrnl.exe+3f6c20 - Playing Roblox as usual, hear my audio freeze like any other time my computer crashes while in game, freak out a bit and get chills. I guess this means my graphics driver update didn’t fix the issue.

I’m not sure if KMSpico has anything to do with this but I have used it since Feb. 2019. I don’t even know if the problem’s related to my graphics drivers or the card itself. I have a feeling my problems are from my RAM since it is the latest hardware change that all the crashing came after but with the memtest showing nothing, i dont even know anymore. The graphics card was used in my brother’s computer since it was built in Jan. 2018 until he upgraded to a 1070 and RAM was bought on Aug. 25, 2020 and installed around that time. If I remember correctly he had black screening happen to him while the card was being used (if its related?) but has never happened to me. But otherwise he had no crashes when these were in his computer when I asked him (and i dont think he has had any at this point either!)

Very frustrating to have crashing seemingly at random, mostly while gaming, while I don’t recall having any crashes happening before this year. I had planned to write about this problem back in April but never got around to doing it until similar problems happened AGAIN this month and it's taking me about 2 hours to write this which is crazy. After having no issues in May, I thought the computer was alright but it seems like nope! Thanks for reading all of this, would appreciate the help with this problem.

Another crash just now. Turned on my computer, went to Microsoft Edge and loaded a webpage to play internet radio, computer started to lag for a little bit with a few beep sounds (weird), minimized the windows, opened malwarebytes (didn't run it), opened Edge again, window opened and minimized, tried to open it again, window was black with a scaled down image of the new tab page (my homepage) in the top left corner, with a not responding message). So I closed it without waiting for it to respond, opened Edge again, went back to the webpage to play internet radio, after a few seconds audio freezes and I get a blue screen. 0x00000050 PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, ntoskrnl.exe+3f71d0. The Memory management BSOD was caused by GPU drivers
dxgmms2!VIDMM_GLOBAL::FlushGpuVaTlb+0x195

Jun 21 2021nvlddmkm.sysNvidia Graphics Card driver http://www.nvidia.com/
try running DDU and reinstall new drivers - https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/

Page Fault - it isn't as obvious.

Without seeing results of dumps, the edge crash could be GPU or it might be Audio drivers. Your sound drivers are from 2019

Well, another one again. Left my computer on idle, might have been connected to VPN and on a youtube page, I don't think video was playing. Came back to see my lock screen. SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION 0x0000003b, ntoskrnl.exe+3f71d0. Dump link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KdnpIQHZOeJw2Nt7htwVQGfw1ARHOFGE/view?usp=sharing

I mentioned earlier in Jun. 22 that I updated a bunch of programs. I still had the Realtek auto installation program so I ran the repair option and it says maintenance completed. The modify option was blanked out. I did this before it crashed. When I put my 1060 in, I ran DDU and installed version 471.11 which was the newest driver at the time. There is a new version for my gpu driver but I haven't downloaded it yet, but I will try to install it.

edit: I downloaded the Realtek auto installation program again from their website and did the same thing, same result

Haha, again. I'm seeing a pattern here, based on the Edge crash and one I had now. If a program doesn't respond/crashes and I try to use it again after being closed, the computer will crash after a few seconds to a minute. But the other crashes seem to be out of nowhere so... not sure but it seems like GPU drivers have been a problem for a number of crashes?

I decide to play Roblox for a bit, play for like 5 minutes. (I was playing a game called ultimate driving on roblox, so here is the detail: I park my car, hop out and a second later Roblox crashes with the message saying "an unexpected error occurred and Roblox needs to quit. We're sorry!", which I've seen before.) I try to play the game again, feeling that my computer could crash, and sure enough I was right. After I get to the loading screen and spawn in, computer crashes. So stupid

one of these days I will read the latest dump

the previous one that crashed Browserhost.exe... that program appears to be part of Mcafee Webadvisor?
but I don't see McAfee on your PC.

update/remove softether vpn, its from 2018

if I see internet related things keep crashing I don't look at GPU drivers, I normally look at internet drivers first. your LAN is new, so it might be something else like above

The McAfee SiteAdvisor, later renamed as the McAfee WebAdvisor, is a service that reports on the safety of web sites by crawling the web and testing the sites it finds for malware and spam. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McAfee_SiteAdvisor

malware have hard time getting on my PC
add ons in Firefox:
  • Ublock Origin
  • Bitdefender Anti tracker
  • Malwarebytes
I probably have too many

wonder if i can find this another way
Can you donwload this: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/pages/bsodcollectionapp/
it will create a zip file in directory you install it in, upload that to a file sharing website and show link here.

A few things.

My vpn version was the newest at the time I installed it in June, the files you mention might have been reused? I found an info page in bios about my ethernet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jAnSra09rLlZ9PM4c4qaszyegAlEywst/view?usp=sharing Driver says 2015 but I'm not sure what else to use other than the auto installation program which seems to be the only way I can update drivers for my ethernet.

I had 2 crashes on Sept. 4, one I didn't even know about until I looked in bluescreenviewer. The first one was when Nicehash mining was started and the computer crashed shortly after. The second one I recorded:
View: https://youtu.be/p-9UtkYQwFY
I was viewing a webpage on Edge (incognito window) when it froze and then the main browser page had a black screen and the Not Responding message on the top. I took the pattern I noticed earlier to the test, so I took a video while doing a few things. It ended up crashing in the middle of a Roblox game.

Dump links: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pz0SOatNJB4S_BSAdepC0o69QjDPdzL-/view?usp=sharing, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PYfF6-jRiE9N_EwopHvfeUmc-nCVvWBi/view?usp=sharing

After these crashes I ran memtest 86 one stick at a time and both passed, stick 1 had 4 passes set and stick 2 had 3 passes with one I cancelled in the middle of. Here is the link to the results in pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13oo2HPlW-bZ9Ky0FswWPDP0sY4XL3Sw-?usp=sharing

I ran malwarebytes but all it detected were kmspico and nicehash files.

Here is the sysnative bsod collection: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aTG9ikf2ugnxfAeZWRGvoHxNF7HyqsUf/view?usp=sharing

. The first one was when Nicehash mining was started
first mention of mining... how often you run that? was it running during other crashes?

why are you running this? is your copy of windows 10 legit? If its a cracked version we shouldn't be helping you. You should reisntall win 10 with a ISO from Microsoft and use it inactivated if you don't have a license. You don't know what might be in cracked copies.

I mentioned mining before on my Aug 23 post. You might have missed it but it crashed when I left my computer mining. Sept 4 and Aug 23 crashes were the only times that Nicehash was running. I use it few days in a week around 5-10 hours a time.

My windows copy was downloaded directly from the Microsoft site but I didn't have a product key at the time so I had kmspico because I wanted to try some features before I get the product key. I'm going to try and enter my product key in.

Alright so I have the McAfee WebAdvisor extension for Chrome, its not a program on my computer. Not sure if browser host has anything to do with the Roblox game I was running.
try removing the add on and see if you still get BSOD. I don't like victim blaming but 3 crashes all in a row for a browser add on.

i can't tell what is cause, the last 2 are both caused after CPU looks at ram for information and the CPU tried to copy information from a location it doesn't have access to , and it crashed. Both happened at same address in memory. they are almost identical errors, the differences are smaller than what is the same.

this is the stack text of one, its FILO order (First in, last out - things at bottom happened first)

Now I don't expect you to understand any of that (as I wish I understood more of it than I have worked out)

I think its still a device driver, i think the driver is giving the wrong info to the CPU and causing it to try to access ram it doesn't own and causes the crash. What that driver is... is the million dollar question.

Alright, I removed webadvisor from Chrome a few days ago and just did for Edge. If I'm getting more frequent bsod's, I'm thinking if backing up my drive and reinstalling windows would be an option.

Another one just now. Playing gta 5 and crashed, not running vpn. I didn't notice any sign of a crash before it happened (like a program not responding for example). Bug check PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, 0x00000050, ntoskrnl.exe+3f71c0 which looks similar to last crash from Sept. 4 but thats just bugcheck and crash address.
Dump link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FISFfcmtJksqzrmtCz5YTzxBO139VPWw/view?usp=sharing

note: A day or 2 before this, the gta game crashed when i hit the key for cheat codes and tried to cancel. some message showed but I forgot what it said.

Yeah, another one. Had internet radio on, playing Roblox (Phantom Forces), maybe 20 mins, and then it froze and crashed. This time it's DirectX, which I haven't had in a while, Feb 22 and 26 were the last ones. I installed the latest graphics drivers (471.96), using DDU. It feels like these crashes happen a few at one time (within days apart).
ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY, 0x000000be, caused by address dxgmms2.sys+149c0 but crash address is ntoskrnl.exe+3f71c0
Might be time soon to back up my drive and start fresh. Dump link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1O7-EtRxyje3Sx0u_9ke6QPWHAjPdjm-F/view?usp=sharing

sept 28 9:26pm update: just heard my audio freeze for a little bit but no crash yet... no crash happened before shutting down computer for the night

Not good. Computer isn't displaying anything or responding now. Writing from my laptop.

Turned my computer on, went to the Google "my account" page, had it on idle for over 10 mins (that's when my screen turns off), woke it up and then hovered over the chrome icon on taskbar about to click it and then it crashed. Page fault in non paged area.
The screen was stuck on 100% complete and I took a picture of it in case I needed it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l-DfHXdrnTZBMt7nVfHCP8RXS5xb51y-/view?usp=sharing

I pressed the reset button, but my keyboard lighting was still stuck, no mouse light, and nothing displaying. I held the power button down, it turned off, I think I flipped the power supply switch off and on, and then I pressed the power button. My keyboard light reset to default, no mouse light again, no display signal. Did it again while recording, same result:

This is crazy
