Numerous small whie dots/circles on LCD screen

Few weeks earlier may white dots/circles appeared on top border of my LCD screen. it's a DELL 1905FP model. I think the number of dots have increased with time!..
I want to know is this a problem with my Screen or the GPU.

I chaged the resolution & checked but dots didn't move.

Sounds/looks like dead pixels. Best way to test it is use a different display to see if the problem persists

Those look way larger than pixels. Like some oily solvent got sprayed on it, melting the matte antireflective coating. Are they there when the monitor is off, and can you feel them on the surface?

Look at the ones that aren't round--they are droplets. Are you sure you can't clean them off with water?

No. There's no residue or any harm to the coating.I keep my monitor pretty clean always.
it's only visible on dark background. on white background i can't see them at all.

I'm pretty sure they are inside of the outer screen cover!
also checked by disassembling.
I didn't test with another monitor though! need to check that out. Thx for help so far. Appreciated
sorry cuz i can't get a really close photo without a macro lens.

If this is a fault in my LCD panel, i think it's time for a new monitor, right?

On a closer look (sorry seeing them on my phone wasn't quite clear) I concur with BFH-9000 they look like drops of some sort-you didn't use something to out of the ordinary to clean the screen?

But to answer your last question, if it really is an issue with your screen itself then unless someone can offer an easy fix then it would mean
replacement time.

I just checked this monitor by connecting to my brother's PC, those circles were there. So it's definitely an error with LCD panel itself.
At that time i noticed that dozens of small circles have turned in to dead pixels....and i think these marks are like a symptom or something like that.

In another thread someone told me this is something to do do with LCD layer separation.
I found this video on another forum about white spot removal, something to do with the layer separation.
