so these are just clock speed increases? or what? im not wasting time translating german or whatever it is for cards that probably have no difference from what currently is on the market

no siggy applicable

Just an Inch? Heck I can get 3" for just $29.95 (heck they were even kind enough to e-mail me personally, did Nvidia even bther? no!). These cards cost 10 times that!

And the pills come with a no-money-back guarantee!

Looks like clock speed increases for their 6month refresh, no surprises.

They will keep up and are nice cards, but needed more to gain back enthusiast support.. as if NV cares they are doing well other areas.

My hat goes in the NV40 pile.
I had waited, using a retirement needy GF3 because I was one of many that thought the NV30 was the great coming or something.
Watching through the GF4 era was hard too.. a very good time for NV. :frown:

What do you do at Gateway?

Oh and hope the 9800 non-PRO starts without hassles!

Jiffy's recent experience seems reassuring.

I'm sorry but what was Jiffys experience?
I missed that one.

I want a new gpu by everquest2s release and the 9800nonpro is the best deal for a dx9 capable card that will last a decent amount of time.
Hopefully this will be my next "GTS", i was extremely happy with the lifespan and performance of my gf2.

I was offered a job at gateway a few months ago and turned it down but now I'm jobless (quit my job) I feel silly turning it down. They told me I could still have the job.

As far as what I'm going to be doing I think its connected to the tech department at gateway but I dont think I get to be a tech (they dont do much tech work there anyway) its more customer service.. but its not sales I was assured that.
Im a great salesman but I grow weary of being a fake to every customer (so that makes me not such a great salesman). I've sold computers @ retail before. [thumbs down]

Jiffy had a thread dedicated to his 2-minute no-hassle installation of the 9800PRO he got finally. It worked just like that, even with the old nV drivers in. (he did later on remove them completely on account they conflicted graphically in some old games)

I was impressed at how stable his gaming was and how great the card turned out to be!

I wanna work next summer at FutureShop, a BestBuy-like store in Canada. It's great to be in a tech-infested store, just the feeling is good. Despite being a very price-gouging place, it has great products sometimes. Anyways, I agree, I don't wanna be fake to consumers. I am no liar in any way, I will be honest and sell them what I see is good. So no GF4 MXs for them!

You should find some 128 MB Daytona Palit GF2 MX for people who wants to buy a "high-end" 128 MB graphics card
