The coolest thing is to saw a "professional" review about a brand new technology and an 1-year old one.

NVidia isn't doing anything special, they should have done this job in their FiaXco series. Now, the 6000 series *must* beat any old card. Including the 9800XT ones.

It's designed to compete with the R423/R420 and whoop the R350/R350. It does it's job.

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

They should have compared it to... what?

Don't be an idiot. If the Fx series had the perf. of the 6800, ATI would have had a very hard time selling a single one of their cards. Look back at the reviews of the GF2/3, GF3/4, etc. the type of perf. leap we have seen today was not a regular occurence.

My only real gripe is the insane power requirements of the 6800, definitely not for me. I would love to see a small, cheap, OCable, cool(passively cooled, perhaps?) card with the perf. of a 9800pro. That would rock.

A long long time ago, but I can still remember, how that music used to make me smile... <A HREF="http://www.nexus.hu/zonix/DIGGER.MID" target="_new"><b><font color=blue>Digger rulz</font color=blue></b></A>

that's a mismatch.

it's not a good comparison at all, the benchmarks have proven it already.

let's just wait till the r420 comes.

they should compare with their own nvidia cards, not the competitor's one. Unless THG wants "average joe"s buying nvidia cards because they are "superior". again, it's obvious that 6000 series is superior to the last year's ati technology. let's wait for a real match for it and then take real comparisons.
