Notice in the EVE benchmark the NV40 with PCI-E outperforms the NV45. Once again the results are ALL over the map. Just go from EVE to F1 to FarCry no one clear performance winner either from a chip or an interconnect perspective.
And really, it doesn't show the impact of the HSI chip at all, it simply proves that the impact isn't noticed with the current batch of cards and games.
Truely there is a measurable difference between bridged and native, but the question is will it matter. I doubt it this round, but it's a good thing they are moving away from it in the future when it will matter.
The TechReport's Benchmarks do show a noticeable difference between native and bridged, like I posted before, that's the true test of the bridge itself, but as it stands neither the pridge, nor PCI-E itself show much in the way of substantial impact in games, just in synthetic benchmarks like this (of course it's an NV40, but I doubt the results would be significantly better for the NV45);
