Nvdia GeForce 660 with 17 FPS on minecraft?

Something has changed. Most likely software, but it's possible that it could be the PSU no longer giving enough power or the video card.. Perhaps a new update for MC or a update to a Mod or something. Can't really say with this little info.

try updating graphics drivers then download GeForce experience and click optimize for minecraft and it will set the game to optimal setting if there is still a problem go into the game file and run the repair program. you may have to re-install the game if there is a corrupted file or some other game file issues

Like I said, nothing has changed between the FPS drop, (no mod change, update change)

And I'm telling you something has change unless it's a hardware failure. But going out and replacing Hardware can get pricey if you don't know what the problem is. To make sure it's not a hardware issue you have to get it tested from another system.

Nooooo. That's definitely wrong. I've got a 650Ti OC... A wannabe 660. And mine doesn't even go that low. Check your gpu temps see how high they get. Maybe check your driver version. You could even grab a multi meter and test the voltages coming from the power connectors. I'd be careful with that last one though. Don't want to short anything out. Or worse still... Expose yourself to high amperage current.

That's what we told him to test out. You're not offering anything we haven't said.

Maybe but it didn't look like it to me. Besides this is 2 weeks old so.
