NVENC (Nvidia hardware acceleration) Issues?

Hey all, i've been playing around with this for game capturing, and 99% it literally looks like the game itself (no lag whatsoever). However, ever now and then the frame rate will drop from around 60fps to 45fps for around a second. While it does only happen every now and then, i'm just wondering what is causing this.

What I'm recording at:

Program = MSI Afterburner
Resolution = 1080P
Frame Rate = 60fps
Quality = 90%
Bitrate = 25mbps

Graphics card is a GTX 750 ti. Games, Portal 2 and F1 2013.

The GTX750Ti is a fine card but you can easily drop below 60FPS in those games at times depending on your settings.

You may wish to investigate forcing on Adaptive VSYNC for some games. It will disable VSYNC automatically if you drop below 60FPS (for 60Hz monitor). That helps avoid any stuttering during the time you're below 60FPS but you'll get some screen tearing. Read more at NVidia if you want.
