Question Nvidea ngx files

I use a game called satisfactory and although i do not have any problems with running the game somebody posted a question about performance issues.
The person who replied said go to game folder and look in logs and the ngx files need deleting.

Just out of curiosity i looked at my files and it would seem that every time you run the game it creates a new ngx folder , what puzzles me is why would somebody tell the guy to delete the folders because when i looked inside mine they are all empty

Hello helpstar you found the exact posting that i was refering to but unless i am missing something why would somebody tell hime to delete empty folders

it´s a cache folder for nvidia GPUs
it can have files inside, but it doesn´t have to
most likely if it works fine, the GPU driver stores some data in it and when the game is quitting, it deletes it again

my thinking:
NGX is ai driven, so if something goes wrong, it doesn´t delete itself and next time the game or app can´t start correctly because of corrupted files.
