News Nvidia’s RTX 50 Super lineup leak hints at increased VRAM of up to 24GB and 415W TGP

I mean, we knew this was possible, and we also knew Nvidia's stinginess with VRAM.
Question is, pricing and availability.
Will we see MSRP = street price, or will it be another +50%~100% on top?

I got my 5070 at MSRP ($549.99), and it's still available at BestBuy for this price, but remember that MSRP only applies to a reference edition, and OEMs don't make many, if any, reference editions anymore since they can charge a huge price premium for their own custom editions, usually for RGB, thicker coolers, and things that don't make much, if any, difference in speeds, so there's always going to be a price premium unless a Founders Edition becomes mandatory and permanent.

The only reason 5070 is available at MSRP is because no one wants a $550 12GB video card in 2025.
Where as the 5070Ti, 5080, 9070, 9070XT are inflated far beyond MSRP.

I was in the same camp, was waiting for the 5070Ti to drop in price as it's currently 50% more for 20% faster performance over the 5070, but it'd be hard to argue that someone with a 2070 Super or 3060 or weaker shouldn't get the 5070 at $550 given it's twice as fast (literally) and is able to deliver 75fps+ at 2560x1440 and 100fps+ at 1920x1080, even more if you play older or less demanding games, or dabble in VR, and will easily last to the 8000 series.

USUALLY the SUPER series is cheaper than the non-SUPER variant. So, this and the VRAM are the only reason to buy them. THIS time, apparently, there are no changes in which die is used, there is no increase to VRAM frequency, and no extra CUDA cores. So, don't expect much of a performance increase.

It's mostly a VRAM correction. The 24 GB models are what people should be getting if they are paying $1000, even if there's few games that need more than 16 GB. The 18 GB 5070 should show some benefits over 12 GB, with the +4% cores as icing on the cake.

The real winner would be if they replace the 5060 8 GB with a 12 GB model, without increasing the price. Probably leaving the 5060 Ti 8 GB untouched as their premier esports GPU, since it would be hard to sell 12 and 16 GB models next to each other.

And it was NOT available at launch. Getting it for MSRP 6 months later when, as you pointed out its not an improvement on a 3080 12gb card isn't all that usefull.

Do tell.

I'm skeptical Nvidia will do this, at least for cards below the 5070 Ti. It would make the 5070 Super too appealing for entry level 4K users and higher end 1440 users which is where the 5070 Ti sits now. However, they sort of did this to the 5080 with the 5070 Ti so anything is possible I guess.
