Nvidia 1070 on older motherboard

Quick question for the community:

Is there any reason why an Nvidia 1070 (or 970 for that matter) would have issues if paired with an Asus P8Z77-V motherboard?

I'm considering upgrading from my current 670 GTX. CPU is a 3570K.

Nope, no reason it would have issues. It will run with anything that has at least one PCIe x16 slot.
