Nvidia 1080ti problem with memory

Hi!
I have a problem with this graphic card i recently buy: Nvidia 1080ti 11 gb memory but i dont have 11gb memory in this program https://www.piriform.com/speccy/download can show me only 3gb memory, whats the problem?
My computer is this:
CPU AMD FX-8350
Ram: DDR 3 8gb
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. M5A97 R2.0 (Socket 942)
Storage: 931GB Western Digital WDC WD1002FAEX-00Z3A0 (SATA) and 465GB Samsung SSD 750 EVO 500GB (SSD)

My goodness that's a waste of a great GPU. Have you tried it out? Don't get too hung up on a random program reporting something wrong. What kind of performance do you get?

I would trust GPU-Z over these other 3rd party programs. Unless you bought a 1080ti from china, I wouldn't put much thought into it saying 3GB.

a) you can also try a program like GPU-Z but that's still just REPORTING a number


b) better off running MSI Afterburner or some other tool to monitor VRAM usage. Then run some demanding benchmark or game that uses more than 3GB


c) I've not tried any of THESE but you can actually test your video memory. I'll try one and report back:

Apparently GPU-Z will report it correctly
