Hi, has any one experienced problems with the new nvidia 190.38 drivers? For me they responded horribly, my video card wasnt stable at any speed; underclocked or overclocked, it would artifact much and pc would crash.
Hi , yes i was using windows xp and the xp version of the drivers, got many artifacts i went back to the 182.50 version, everything rock stable. there is a discussion abt this at the nvidia forums, many people having this problem.
I am running 190.38 and have not had any problems.
Your problem reminds me of when I had dual 8800GTX's and one of them had a bad voltage regulator. Whenever I updated the driver to anything except for the factory disc driver it would only boot into VGA mode and tell me the card was not recieving enough voltage and running really, really slow. I had to RMA the one card and that fixed it. Something in the newer drivers exposed the voltage issue.

Hi, 182.50 were not the drivers that came with the card. The card did not have any problems with any other drivers prior to the 186.xx which also had a lot of problems (check online). I think i need to do a clean install of the 190.XX drivers and think everything will be fixed.
Well if its causing you problems then just rollback for now until they release a new patch , if your computer is crashing or causing problems during rollback, then go into safemode and do it. If you cant download it, then go into safe mode with networking and do it from there.
-I have 190.38 and no problems...everything works perfectly as usual, truth be told, I always download the nvidia BETA patches and I have never ever had a single problem with even a beta patch needless to say a certified patch from them.
