[SOLVED] Nvidia 30XX hysteria (?)

Hello Everyone

I'd like to talk about the nvidia 30XX launch

It seems everyone is scrambling to get a 30XX card

I don't fully understand why, and I have a few questions:

The GPU has yet to prove itself

In a months time there wil be a GPU release from the competiton, which may produce better alternatives or better value/price or even a pricing war

Not many 3rd party 30XX cards are available yet (since these usually offer better performance then reference), why not wait for these?

'Everyone' appears to be scrambling because it's known stock levels are going to be scarce for awhile.

The cause behind this are the rich people who want to have the best from day one. This is not really GPU related , look at the smartphone industry going out of stock after one day , the same thing.

Dont worry much , normal people wont rush ...

The retailers are adding a markup at least here in the UK so it will definitely be cheaper in 3 months time
