I need peoples opinions on this subject. I have a laptop with a Nvidia GT 525m, i7 2670 QM, 8 Gb Ram, 500Gb Hard Drive, Dell Inspiron N5110. My idle temps on the GPU are about 48C. They get as high as 70C when playing Cube World. If I try and play Skyrim with max settings, I get 30 FPS but it gets as hot as 95C. I turn Skyrim off as fast as possible! I have a CM-Storm SF-19 Laptop cooling pad, that helps a bit. Is 70C an ok temp when gaming, is it damaging my laptop if its running at that temp for an hour?

Lower your game settings, it's better to forgo eye candy for life of your laptop. Also get your laptop serviced, it might have dust clogged around vents. the temps you are getting will affect in the long run

When I run Cube World, The graphics are as low as they can get! Plus I just took apart my whole laptop yesterday and cleaned EVERYTHING! Not a spec of dust was in the fans.
