I am using Windows XP Pro with Media center 2004, and a FX5600 video card
with version 53.04 drivers. Everything works great.

Should I update to the new 56.72 version drivers? The NVidia web site does
not list this new driver as available for computers with media center
installed. It shows version 53.04 as the latest version available for
computers with media center installed.

Rule #1: Don't break what is not broken.
Rule #2: Let some other idiot with Media Center be the first
guniea-pig.

Rule #3: If you decide to break rule #1 and #2, create
a System Restore point before messing, or better still,
make a Drive Image of your System Partition. Or do
both if you are anyway paranoid.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If the 53.04's are working fine, don't upgrade.

I'm still using 45.23's with my ti4600, because they work.

The 53.04s are "broke". They do not have application profiling features in
them.

Great. I just installed these for my FX5700. All was well, til my system
locked up during fast user switching in XP. Now what- 53.03?

People seem to like those. Hopefully a good set of drivers with
application profiling will be released some time in the future.
