Thanks for pointing this out.

Abit had a little falling out with nVidia a few months ago. Cannot
recollect the details. Can jeopardise Abit's future with regard to
nForce motherboards. I use Abit motherboards exclusively in
system-builds, but Intel only, and have never bought Abit plug-in
cards. No doubt I will read more in the Abit newsgroup.

That was supposed to be a false rumor. I guess it was not so false after
all. You got to think Abit is kicking themselves now.

Between nForce2, NForce3 and the 6800 it does seem as if
Abit should patch things up for their own sake. I suspect Abit
has already climbed into the Ati bed with regard to future
video-card offerings. We shall see in a couple of weeks time.

Abit's OTES cooling systems were hella racket, so if they're sticking
with nVidia hardware, they better make sure they don't have an
integrated punk band installed to their graphics card cooling fans.

OTES was/is a useless marketing gimmick. The Zalman CNPS7000
series flower-cooler for the CPU overhangs the peripheral circuitry
around the CPU and makes OTES unnecessary. Also, is much
quieter and more efficient than the Intel stock coolers. I will not
buy an Abit card with OTES installed.
