Nvidia 820m but still ladding in cod4 moderate settings???

HI ,
MY PC specs are Memory (Ram) : 4 GB Screen Size : 15.6 inch Hard Disk Capacity : 1 TB ) Operating System : windows 8 graphics: nvidia geforce 820m
Processor Name Core i5 (4th Generation)
Variant 4210U
Processor Brand Intel
Clock Speed 1.7 GHz
Cache 3 MB.....but the game still lags at moderate settings....even games between 2007-2011 lag...i use it at high performance....plz help whats wrong....i tried modifying my graphics settings but nothing works.......

see im new in gaming and graphics stuff...so i don know...the dealer preinstalled it...can u help me with that?

First of all uninstall your 860m driver from device manager before that make sure u have the original driver in the c folder usuly laptop comes with a folder that contains all the drivers in a folder and also clean the total n vidia using this http://www.guru3d.com/content-page/guru3d-driver-sweeper.html then install tour new driver from this i have the same issue with my laptop but mine is ati card i have updated it from amd site for my card but after i noticed lagging in my games then i notices that u have to install driver only from ur laptop vendor

an 820 (and m at that) is not actually for gaming, actually it's bad for gaming. if this was an 850 or 860 then it will be better. 820 is just too slow. even if you pair that with an i7, it will still be slow. sorry, for next time, if portability is not required, get a desktop. And staty away from x20 x40 (720, 740, 640) models. start at mid (750, 650, etc) and up
