Use Scaled Resolution Editor (SRE) from TOASTYX (the same of Custom Resolution Editor) and remove resolutions that are not 16:9 or do not correspond to your screen. Maybe only deleting 1920x1200p value.
Leave the default Windows resolutions 1024x768,640x480, restart and you are done.
Im running Metro Last Light at 2560x1440 to 4k with NIS activated. The scaling works perfectly. No others tweaks needed.
