When gaming with an RTX 4080 and a 360Hz monitor, I could not find DSR Factors in the Nvidia App.
When I got an RTX 5000 card, suddenly there was DSR Factors in the Nvidia App.
I had read that monitors that have Display Screen Compression (DSC) switched on, cannot use Nvidia DSR. ... This related to using an Nvidia RTX 5000 series card because it would not need DSC. ........ Whereras the RTX 4080 would need DSC to go over 240Hz at my resolution of 1440p. This because the max referesh rate at 1440p, for display port 1.4a is 240Hz. (NB Remember the RTX 5000 series use display port 2.1. At 1440p the max reresh of DP 2.1 is 500Hz.)
I reverted back to the RTX 4080. Then turned off DSC. .... That was a solution. The Nvidia DSR Factors appeared in the Nvidia App. There was not even a need to reboot the PC, or restart the Nvidia App. DSR Factors were there on the fly.
