nVidia Desktop Mngr problem

FX5200, unified driver 4.24, display 56.72 (used for office apps v.little
gaming)
All was fine, when, with nothing new installed/altered nVidia Desktop Mngr
dissapeared from the win.tray.
The nVidia applet, in the Control Panel, doesnt run. - no err.msg -
Using Display > Advanced > FX5200 tab > Desktop Mngr menu item, the app
window only displays partially.
ie as though a hidden window is obscuring it.
No errs/conflicts in hardware devices
Any clues?

It's a known bug with the 56.72-61.12 beta. It's no big deal, just a pain.
Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

Very bizare, specially as it was all OK
I wondered if it was something else, as I've been having odd probs in
Win2kpro SP4
