So ive uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled this driver maybe 40 times so far to hope it works, i've updated my entire system and im still getting crashes on everything i do, whether its 5 mins, or 3 hours. This is really starting to irritate me. Does anyone know a solution?

Methods i've tried
Uninstalling manually, reinstalling manually
Uninstalling via ASC (advanced system care) reinstalling via geforce experience
Uninstalled via DDU, reinstalling via Windows update
Uninstalling via computer driver settings, installing via USB
Completely wiping my computer, reinstalling via USB, Geforce experience, Windows update
I've tried every thing, is it me or is this driver completely broken?

Specs
Windows 10 OS
Dell XPS
core 2 quad
GT 610
4 GB ddr2 Corsair dominator memory
400w Rosewill PSU

I have the same problem with my GTX 660 and Windows 10 64 bit. I've uninstalled and reinstalled probably 20 times, trying older versions too. Every single version crashes if I game for more than 20 minutes. I don't see many people complaining about this problem, and it's getting more and more frustrating.

Dunno, this problem was an issue with w10 and nvidia drivers since 341.xx in w10 insider previews from my understanding. Its really making me not want to upgrade to w10 on my gaming rig. I've tried older versions as well. And different OS versions of drivers. No matter what i do this shit crashes 🙁

if anyone has evga precision X try exiting that program to see if it fixes it, for me that was causing crashes or freezes in every game
I thought it was windows 10 as well but looks like its an issue with precision x and windows 10
I was using version 16.

Just to try things out, I switched out my 660 that was giving me errors on 353.62 with an old 610 I had on a shelf. It's been 2 hours of running Cities Skylines (usually it'd die within about 20 minutes) with no problems, on the exact same drivers as the 660. I'm not sure what to make of this.

The problem isn't only on Windows 10. I and my friends are having the same problem on windows 7.

Screen goes black and returns after two seconds giving an error similar to "Nvidia mode kernel driver 353.62 stopped responding" 353.62 is the latest driver version.

My specs:
Intel core 2 quad Q6600
2*2gb DDR2 and 2*1GB DDR2, will have to open the PC to get more specific RAMs. (6GB in total)
GeForce GT 730 1GB
a fsp600-80gln PSU (600W)

The graphic card is A day old and the rest is surely at least 6 years old or so.

Hey there...

Join the club.

Having same issues since the release of Nvidia driver 353.XX

Installed, uninstalled 50 times...if not crashing, then HDMI doesn't work.

Usually after installing the driver...then connect DVI, then restart 10 times my system will start to realize, hey there's actually a HDMI out.

Then....BSOD error, random crashes and restarts whether using DVI or HDMI.

I've been rock solid stable 10 days running without fail with driver 352.86....everything works, so I'm not updating anything until these problems are sorted!

Windows 8.1 64bit
MSI GTX 760 HAWK
MSI GTX 980 GAMING

Same issue but with NVIDIA GTX 960

I got a replacement GTX 660 from EVGA and it's been running flawlessly on the same software as the old one. Not sure what happened, I guess something went wrong when upgrading from 8 to 10.

I also had the same problem with installing that latest driver 353.62 on my GTX 750TI, I tried going through my Nvidia Geforce Experience but it would not install from there it kept saying driver not supported by this version of windows, so what I did is go to actual Geforce website and look up the driver manually for your card pick win 10 option download driver and istall from there,it worked for me that way.

Got the same problem after having installed win10
I've got an old GeForce GT 430.
Nothing I've tried has solved the issue: old drivers, new monitor drivers
Never had that problem before so I'm pretty sure it's a driver-problem.

Hey, same problem here. I don't have a solution, but looking at the > 1200 comments on the official geforce.com forum thread, we are not alone and 353.62 on Windows 10 is just a bad, bad release. Like here, most of the reported problems are:

a. Crashes / BSODs after a few minutes playing
b. Bad SLI memory management causing crashes

More details:

  • - It's not local to one specific graphic card, e.g. I suffer crashes on my 660GTX, but owners of the same card reported no problem whatsoever.
    - It's not due to migrating to Windows 10, e.g. I did a clean install on a fresh SSD
You can help nVidia troubleshoot the issue by reporting your problems on this nvidia.com survey.

Hoping a fix is coming soon... :/

right, i've used ddc (display driver uninstaller) to completely remove the latest driver 353.62 and I've then installed another old version (341.44) - so far so good....

Update: Sh... forgot to turn off Auto-Update - hmpf! had to reinstall old driver again, but it seems to work for me...

Thats exactly what i did and mine started crashing instantly.

auto update can't be turned off via w10..

I was using an Intel E3 1231, brand new. The same graphics card worked perfectly fine in my old build with an FX 4170. I think you might be onto something.
