Hello 3 days ago I was playing World Of Tanks when I read a forum post that the new Nvidia Drivers were killing gpu's because they are a hotfix for the 700 series
shortly after I was in the middle of a game when my game froze and purple square began to appear all over my screen. Then my pc froze and I had to reset it.The windows logo popped up and after that black screen then my TV went to a ''No Signal'' mode.I went into safe mode and everything worked fine except there are horizontil lines everywhere.I uninstalled the driver and rebooted I was now able to access windows.I put in my EVGA driver install disc and everything installed fine.So I rebooted and windows logo and then Black Screen.I tried a system restore but that didnt help,I have tried many different drivers but that also didnt help.I dont think it is a hardware issue due to the fact i have had the pc for 3 months now with no problems. The last thing I can think to do is wipe my pc and start again.

My Specs are EVGA: GTX660 SC

Gigabyte: GA-990XA-UD3 motherboard

AMD: FX6300 Black Edition processor

16.0 GB of RAM

Windows 7 ultimate edition

Thanks -Luke

Wauw! spambot detected! 😀..

Well it actually sounds like your card card died on you to be honest. Is it still under warranty? If so, hurry up and send it back.

Did yu attempt to overclock the GPU yourself? The card was already oc'ed frm factory so if you overclocked just a little bit you may have killedit.

No its not under warranty becasue I bought it second hand and I haven't touched the clock speed it came factory ''Super-clocked''
