Question Nvidia driver failing with new Ryzen 3000 build?

Since upgrading to a new 3700x and asus x570 mobo, I've had random NVIDIA driver failures. At first it would cause a bsod but after playing around with different drivers and bios settings, it no longer bsods. The driver will recover after exiting the game. The failures are pretty intermittent and only happen after an hour or more of gameplay.

My best guess is the NVIDIA driver is not fully backwards compatible with pci-e 4.0 yet. Though, I am also worried it could be my psu (Bitfenix Whisper M 850w) which I bought brand new to install with my 3700x.

What do you think the problem could be? Driver related or PSU related?
By the way, my gpu is a 980 ti.

Doesn't seem like a PSU issue to me though, but I could be wrong as well. Does the PC also restart/reboot after playing Games ? Are you using a FRESH installed copy of the OS ?

Maybe try doing a CLEAN re-install of the GPU drivers, by using the DDU tool ? https://www.wagnardsoft.com/ , What is the GPU and CPU TEMP value when you play games ?? Have you updated your system BIOS as well ?
