I had the same problem with you with my 9400GT (6 years back). I reinstalled windows xp and then I downloaded the driver manually. I could only install it on safemode, but I got the same problems with you. I updated to win 7 and all worked fine. Then I re-reinstalled XP again, but with SP3, not SP2 and also it was the latest build. Everything fine.

So, if you are using Windows 7, make sure that you are SP1 with build 7601 (v 7.1.7601). Build 7600 has various bags from drivers

I you are using Windows 8, you should upgrade to 8.1. 8 have various bags with NVidia and ATI drivers.

That's all I know, hope I helped.

Okay, well now i installed the driver in safe mode and that seemed to work, but now i have multiple random issues that i have never had before..

1. Java Will not install, it downloads the installer and then opens the installer and stays at 0% forever(from what ive seen)
2.Youtube videos will not play, it loads the first image of the video and even starts buffering but then just does not play
3.Shockwave player keeps crashing in google chrome when i try to go on certain websites, i was on the battlenet website trying to install the battle.net launcher but i could never do it because shockwave stopped working and i had to kill the page
4.Skype says that in offline, always? It just keeps loading and never goes online even though i have a connection?
5. Logitech G930 Will not work with windows for some reason, it is set as the default device and installed drivers correctly, connects to the wireless usb but never plays sound( I Have Noticed that the volume mixer sets the sound level very low, and when i try to change it, the window stops responding)
6.AVG Anti-Virus Free will not install either, i download the installer and run it, then it starts to downloadsome files and only gets done 37mb of 44.8
7.Razer Synapse 2.0 cant update, it opens the updater, i say "Yes, Update" and then it gets to 64% and stops

Overall windows just seems to be acting really weird and is super frustrating

I have also installed multiple programs without fail (Glary Utilities 5.5, Chrome, Kingston Office, Malwarebytes, Origin, Skype, and Steam(Steam installed correctly but will not open, it loads for a bit, updates and then never opens)

I have ran a malwarebytes scan and done multiple scans and fixes in glary utilities, and have found nothing and nothing seems to work :(

Any Help?

Colin
