NVIDIA drivers crash whenever trying to enable SLi

Hello,

I recently bought a second 560ti to SLi on my Asus Sabertooth 990FX (with latest BIOS).

I plugged everything in, including the SLi bridge, but actually didn't even see any option to SLi in the NVIDIA control panel. I reinstalled the drivers (clean), and did see the option for SLi. However, whenever I click the option, the resolution drops and the control panel crashes. At that point it says NVIDIA GPU isn't even detected, and I have to reinstall the drivers to even get back to step 1 again.

Anyone experience this with any suggestions?

My OS is Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition.

try using driversweeper to remove all trace of nvidia drivers, then reboot and only install the latest drivers. If that doesnt work even try older drivers.

may need to bite the bullet and reinstall windows. Try another sli bridge also, perhaps its faulty.
