using windows 1903 everything is up to date and it says my windows is not supporting the drivers. it says use nvidia experience instead, but i used it and did check for updates and it says i have the latest drivers. 1060 to rtx 2060 it also got automatically detected with no new drivers.

Did you update the card without uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers?
i mean what i was doing is showing someone how the 1060 worked so i had the 2060 drivers installed and put in the 1060 and it didnt want to update. i normally do advanced options and do clean install always worked for me. but it give me that message, but it worked like a 1060 and after showing him i put my 2060 back so i am guessing the 2060 drivers are still on my pc. because it would't let me install the 1060 drivers

Yes, they are the same, but without a reinstall there may be issues, personally uninstall-swap card-reinstall to minimise chance of BSOD
because i never uninstalled the 2060 drivers i think i still should be ok. if i get any blue screens i will just use ddu and install is fresh
