NVIDIA Drivers Prevent Monitor Power Save

Hey all! I have a weird problem here. I have a Hercules GeForce3 video card and I just bought a 21" HP P1110 monitor. For some reason, the monitor will not go into power save as long as the NVIDIA Detonator drivers are installed. If I use the stock GF3 driver that comes with XP, it works fine, but with any NVIDIA release, the monitor's picture goes blank, but it will not go into power save when the timer is reached. Does anyone know of this problem and what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

When the power save kicks in, the picture goes black almost as if a blank screen saver kicked in (but I run no screen saver), but the monitor doesn't turn off.

I come across the same problem.

No matter which variety of driver I use for my monitor or graphics, it won't allow my monitor to power off!

Graphics: Gainward Ti4200 - Golden Sample
Monitor: Hansol 710D 17"
OS: Win98 SE
Screensaver: No
Monitor power-off setting: 20 minutes

Both are about 2-3 months old, but the problem started when I installed the Gainward.(

Oh good old Voodoo3 2000....*sigh*
