I have a GTX780 and a new driver is ready. I try to install but can not because (it says) I need to install an Intel driver. Ths is news to me because when I installed an Nvidia driver in March it didn't ask for an Intel driver. But now it does. This is a problem.
I have an HD 4000 on my mobo but I could never get it to work along side my 780 so it's not installed. SO now I can not update the Nvidia driver.
I tried installing the Intel driver but all I got was a black screen and a Windows did not start properly error.
So I ask. Why has nvidia changed their driver installation? Before I didn't need the HD4000 working but now I do (this is on a desktop PC not a laptop). I've tried changing the display option in my BIOS by choosing PCI-E but I still get the Windows error. And the Intel HD4000 VGA driver came from the Asus site of my Mobo. WHat's going on? Right now I am stuck on a driver I can no longer update. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried going to this site? : https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx
Manually pick your Intel HD Driver and select the newest one (Beta probably), this would insure no black screen occurred.

I myself is surprised that Nvidia is asking for Intel Software based drivers to be honest.

What was the exact error message that said it need to install intel driver?
