Nvidia DSR Resolutions

Hi everyone I recently upgraded to a 980ti and was trying to see what this Nvidia feature was all about. I was looking for an option to try out 1440p but it seems with the DSR it will only allow me to use 2715x1527 which i thought was odd since I've never seen this resolution before.

I use a ASUS VG248 monitor, I don't know a lot about resolutions since I have always used 1080p but I am assuming the higher the number the better the picture?

Anyone know a bit more about this DSR thing?

is your driver up to date? cos i have gtx 970 and i play SC2 @ 4K DSR and witcher 3 @ something like you have mentioned above. the allowed DSR resolutions are in the nvidia controller panel and you need to select all the check boxes in order to get them all.
