Hello everyone! Recently I have experienced problems with my Dynamic Display Mode Tray Icon (it´s the icon where you can switch from Optimus to dedicated graphic card or select auto-switch). The problem is whenever I open its windows hourglass shows up and the whole windows is irresponsible (you cant close it, change options or do anything with it). The only option is to close NVIDIA Container service via Task Manager but then I have to restart my laptop in order to be able to use NVIDIA Control Panel again.
Usually it worked. I don´t know since when it is so, but some days ago I installed Avast Premium Security and I was suspicious about it starting all that...
In the meantime I removed Avast with all its components, did cleaning NVIDIA drivers with DDU in safe mod with fresh install of drivers with NVCleanstall but nothing helped me with that issue, it keeps on hangin´.
Right now I use only dedicated graphic card and I don´t need that option, but I want to solve that problem.

Some of you look like you've gone through lengthy troubleshooting processes, such as uninstalling Avast, cleaning NVIDIA drivers, and doing a fresh install, yet the problem with the Dynamic Display Mode Tray Icon persists, causing system irresponsiveness. It's a perplexing position, especially since you've limited your use to the specialized graphics card. Exploring system restore points prior to the Avast installation, as well as seeking specialized guidance from the NVIDIA support community, may shed light on this recurring issue. Narrowing down the date of when the problem began could be critical in identifying the fundamental cause and developing a more targeted response.
You have described, in finest details, the whole process which I (and most likely the other people who did have this problem) went through. I am sorry that I didn´t mention precise time when this happened, but it was like 2-3 days ago (after this last driver installation).

It isn't just your PC that has this problem, its been identified as the drivers.

If it doesn't happen again, I wouldn't think about it.
Yep, I was just recapitulating the whole problem and thinking how a "small" issue can bring some headaches. It won´t come back I think, and when it comes back I will know that the buggy driver is guilty. :)
Thank you again for help!
