Hi guys, I've recently bought an Nvidia GTX 970 and I saw the Fast Vsync option and I researched what it does, basically from what I learned is that you can play tear free if your FPS exceeds your monitor refresh rate. I have a 60Hz monitor.
My problem is that I want to play Half-Life 1 with Fast Sync, but tearing still occurs even at 300 FPS with Fast Sync turned on from NV Control Panel and NV Inspector.
So my question are: does Fast Sync work only with new games? Do I need a Display Port cable? My monitor has only HDMI. I'm I doing something wrong?
