zzZZZ... about as entertaining as a political debate...

-intel- "our processor works way better!"
-Nvidia- "Nuh uh!"
-intel- "don't use their processor, or you won't get the full Windows experience!"
-Nvidia- "you mean all the bugs? they fixed those... "

I'd re-word that as:

Intel: our chipset is just as good and better than nvidia's..it can do everything nvidia's can, with lower power!
nvidia: Um...yeah...that's bs and you know it

I feel worse about any OEMs out there who would actually listen to Intel praise their own product, rather than make a decision for themselves. People don't care about Atom vs. Nano vs Whatever, they want functionality and affordability.

If your battery time drops form 6 hours to 5, but you can watch movies on your netbook or use a nettop as HDPC, why wouldn't you want an Ion? Intel has no solution whatsoever for the multimedia field. Their best desktop GPU can't even support blue-ray decoding, like their integrated Pineview core is going to be that much of an improvement.

[citation][nom]roofus[/nom]I dont know why I find it so amusing to see Nvidia essentially smarting off to Intel. Cant decide if it is brave or stupid.[/citation]

AMD thinks its very smart.

Yeah Intel might be big, but is really ramming their head against a wall on this one. To fight a graphics company that wants to HELP YOU MAKE MONEY! Don't know how came up with that idea....

Imagine this....

Intel pisses off Nvidia

Nvidia no longer supports Intel chips on their board (bye bye SLI)

Nvidia pairs with VIA to create a Desktop CPU with improved graphics capablitiy and SLI

AMD/ATI pull the same stunt Intel is trying and not allow uses to use their GPUs with Intel CPUs (to really kill Intel)

Now Intel is stuck with their own graphics and no discrete cards....

Disclaimer:
Will never happen, but would give Intel a taste of their own medicine

from my heart i would realy wanna see that but ofc it won`t happen :)

Remember the first time Intel fked me up was their I740 chip video card.... it sucked so hard.... anyway, now, i got fked up again with their 950g mobile video chip.... i don't wanna to be fked again and again, unless i can get a machine with either ATI or Nvidia chip, i rather use pen and paper.

I just listened to the most recent episode of the AVault Podcast in which we had the director of PR for NVIDIA Derek Perez was on as a guest. It can be found at our site at http://podcast.avault.com. He had some choice words to say about Intel. I thought it was hilarious too. One of the hosts asked if he thought his CEO could beat Intel's CEO in a street fight. He said NVIDIA's would win. Hilarious!
