Hello,
I updated the latest driver from EVGA and occationally the monitor flashes off and on a gives the error message that the vidoe driver stopped working but has recovered. Then when I am viewing a video or just surfing the web. picture freezes, sometimes only the audio on a video continues. I tried to do a clean install of the driver but the computer is so fast it installed the driver before i could.

Solution
well i heard about the GT220 crashing because of it's clock from one of my friend as well. some said you need to lower the clock a bit to prevent the crashing from happening.

Hello,
There was the same problem with me but i had the warranty and it was replaced with a new but will the problem occur again?????
thanxxx in advance

what do you mean by that? try using driver sweeper. uninstall the driver and reboot in safe mode to run driver sweeper. after cleaning all nvidia related using the program restart your pc and try installing the driver once again. if the same thing still happen try using previous driver. btw i honestly think that it was such a waste to use a very low end card such as nvidia G210 with your system. you system should be able to run something like GTX580 without any trouble

I sent it in under warrantee and the replacement works flawlessly with computer monitor and the DVI television at around 40 degrees C. The problem I believe starts with the EVGA Precision that comes with the card. I did need to update it rather than using the CD. Watch very carefully how you set the Core, Shader and Memory Clock. You must set it manually for factory recommendations of 589, 1402 and 600. LOOK out for the RESET ALL BUTTON. It is described as "Resets master GPU to default settings". That is a load of bunk as the so called default settings are way over what I told you above. :non: This is the designers fault so I feel no reserve in telling you this. :ange:

I posted on this blog the solution to the problem. I bought this 1Gig card because it was only $20 and it serves me well at present. My 1080i television is not 3D so I can not say if my future holds a new card or not. The MB allows for upgrading the processor to a 12 thread processor but like I've said, I use the EPU-6 engine that slows the processor I got down 1% along with the fans for energy efficiency. I really don't need anything else. I can overclock on this system as well.
I had PII for the internet till last year and I got fedup with crashes and dialup. I just wanted something that is usable and upgradable past the year 2020. I think this computer might serve me for a very long time. Thanks for your help, the GPU you suggested will be looked at more seriously should the issue arise.
