Is it enough for gaming ? im looking at an MSI here's the specs :

Intel Core i7-4720HQ
17.3'' Full HD
Standard Memory: 8GB

- nVidia Geforce 940M, 2GB DDR3

thing is im not sure if im going to play the latest games or not, i currently have alien isolation, mafia 2, 7 days to die and a few others.. now im pretty sure it can run that as i checked notebook graphic card reviewer and it was okay, but will it be enough if i decide to get a newer game ?

Yes, I have a similar one with an i5 5200u and 2gb 940m. It plays all my games at high+ settings @ 30+ fps, but my screen is only 768, so I have only played them at 768 or 720p, and have not tried 1080p through hdmi yet.. I cannot say you will have everything running at high @1080p, but your i7 should help it get there a bit better.
