My issue starts back when NVIDIA released the GeForce Experience 3.0. Before this "new" update I was able to use ShadowPlay without an issue, now however when I try to open ShadowPlay (now known as Share) it does not work! I've read many forums and have tried many "solutions" to no avail.

When I try to open share it literally says "Unable to open share" 🙁

Specs:
GeForce GTX 1070
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4670k CPU @ 3.40GHz
16GB RAM
Resolution 1920x1080

Solution
i had the same issue but its working now all i did was :

i have 2 drive my OS is on my SSD and most of other software and games are on my 6 TB drive ...... so when i looked on :

C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation & D:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation

also the (64bit) program files >>>>

C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation & D:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation

i saw the different on files so all i did is to copy the missing files on both so they will be equal but dont delete any file for example the file which

was on C drive have (4 folders and 1 text file) while the file which was on D Drive have (15 folders and 1 text file) so all i did was to copy all the

files onwhich was...

Are you trying to open it with the "alt-z" function while in-game? Or are you trying to access it directly from the GFE menu on the desktop?

It appears you do meet the hardware requirements except maybe the router requirement or maybe Disk space.
Is your disk an SSD that might be tapped out?
Is your router at least 802.11n?
Is your GeForce driver version 347.52 or later?

I've tried to open it with both alt-z and directly from the GFE menu. (Same result it doesn't work)
I do have an SSD 24GB left, i also have two 1TB harddrives both have about 500GB free left.
My router is atleast 802.11n (i'm also using Ethernet don't know if that matters or not).
My drivers are up to date version 378.66 currently

p.s. sorry for slow response for some reason i didn't get an email notification i will work on that.

Can you change where it stores the temporary files to one of the HDDs? Maybe it's trying to save them on the SSD and it wont because its too close. Just a thought, I could be way off.

Can you please let us know exactly which solutions you have tried? The uninstall and re-install or Googling the nature of the issue are usually the most popular.

What is the end goal here? Streaming, recording or?

Which version of Nvidia's GeForce Experience are you using?

OMG dude I cannot believe that actually worked, literally over like a year of this not working fixed in two seconds! Absolute legend!

The fix that worked for me was to "Allow Experimental Features." in GFE.
