Hello! I got a new graphics card, the Nvidia GeForce GT 610, and I used the HDMI to plug it into my 720p TV(supports up to 1080p screen resolution) but problem is, the screen wasn't resized. The screen went over the edges of the TV. I can't really explain it properly. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

I fixed it when it goes into Windows, but I still have this problem in the BIOS. I tried everything to fix it in the BIOS, but no dice. Any help?

EDIT: I have a Dell Optiplex 960 Mini Tower.

You need to change a setting on the TV itself, it's not showing the resolution 1:1. Check if you have the TV set to 16:9, "zoom" or something else. If this doesn't work, try other resolutions such as 1336 and 1360. Some TVs claim to support certain resolutions they don't actually support natively, so they scale. A friend of mine has a TV that runs at 1336x768 resolution, but windows lets him run it at 1920x1080 if he wants...but it looks horrible, far worse than simply running it 1336x768.

I already checked, the TV is on normal. This happened on every resolution I tried before I fixed it in Windows(even 800x600!)

There is a menu called "PC Settings", however when I select it, it said "This item is currently not available." It's a shame, because it has the options to change the horizontal position, and vertical position. But, I already fixed the problem in Windows by going into the Nvidia Control Panel, and resized the desktop, then changed the screen resolution to 1080p and it was fixed.

I still have this problem in the BIOS. Would it be the TV?

Yeah it happens with nearly every tv when used as a pc monitor, you usually can fix the overscan in the tv options with the remote. Undo the resizing you have done already with nvidia control panel and try some of these options to properly fix it, like I said though usually on most modern tvs you just have to set the hdmi source to PC.

Unfortunately, I looked at the link, and it didn't show how to fix the overscan on my TV. My TV brand is Philips, and it only showed LG and Samsung.

It works for me, but the problem is that the screen resolution is unbareable(1360x768). Too bad my TV's maximum resolution for VGA is that resolution.
