I have tried installing a new graphics card into my computer, the GT 640, but it is not detected what-so-ever by the computer (not under device manager). In Windows Index it has the old graphics card still as the default. My motherboard is an MS-7501 Medion and the power supply does supply enough power, 450W to the minimum 350W. Why won't it detect the card, is it compatibility issues?

I uninstalled the drivers to the old graphics card before taking the card out. Then put the new card in, attempted to download the drivers (from disc and online) but it can't because it can't find the hardware.

I believed I tried at one point but couldn't find any obvious area to change this. Also the old card likely used PCIe as well so I wouldn't have thought that it would be the issue.

I have decided that the motherboard is too old, mainly because there is no BIOS update, so thanks for all the help but I think it won't matter due to the motherboard's age.
