NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M Error code 43 (Not working)

Cross-post from the Dell support forum since I feel as there is a bigger posibility that I will get an answer here.

Laptop model: Dell Inspiron 7720
Card: NVIDIA GeForce 650M

Yo.

I sent my laptop in for repair and got it back little more than a week ago. However, I was gonna play some games today and I got alerted by the gameclient that:

"That's odd, I thought. Why would it use the Intel one.."

So I went into Device Manager and yeah, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M reported errorcode 43 (not working).

So yeah, I just got it back from repair and it's not working. I didn't send it in for repair for this problem, but it's still annoying that something is always wrong with this laptop.

Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong here? Can anyone link me to any specific drivers that might fix this? I hope to god that this isn't a hardware issue.

Hello. Yes I have tried installing older drivers, drivers provided by dell, and newest drivers from Nvidia. Nothing works. And yes, I did uninstall the device first as well from the Device Manager and tried again. Still didn't work.

i would suggest going into the control panel and removing anything nvidia through add or remove programs.
then install the following driver ,
geforce 335.23 driver-WHQL
http://www.geforce.com/drivers
not sure if the link will show correct drivers for you if not select manual driver search geforce/600m series-notebooks/geforce gt650M/windows 864bit and search and you will find geforce 335.23 driver-WHQL listed below

I tried the earlier and it didn't work. I tried again now just to be sure, but the error 43 still shows up. I'm beginning to suspect hardware issues.

I'm assuming you've already solved it, but I was cancelling update to Win 8.1 till yesterday...i got code 43 a problems with SLI right after upgrade..and yes..problem was Win 8.1...but solution wasnt hard in fact..I have lenovo and i found almost everything on lenovo support even with manual.. so you might fix it with support from manfctr or spend some time ggling...
I hope your pc is in better shape now...

Try updating BIOS. It worked like a charm for me. Not only did the error disappear, the graphic card is working and you can actually access the Nvidia Control Panel!
