My graphics card doesn't show up in device manager, and whenever I try NVIDIA's auto-detect feature it says that it cannot find compatible hardware.

The driver installation says the same thing, it's not recognizing my graphics card at all, then just exits the driver installation process.

specs:

OS: Windows 10 version 1709 (x64 bit)

GPU: [GeForce GTX 1050ti](ASUS ROG GeForce GTX 1050 Ti STRIX-GTX1050TI-O4G-GAMING 4GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Video Card)

CPU: Intel i3-2100 @ 3.10 GHz

Motherboard: ASRock Z75 Pro3 LGA 1155 Intel Z75 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard DDR3 There is only one PCI express 3.0 slot for my motherboard

PSU: Corsair cx750W

RAM: DDR3 x2 4gb Ripjaw-X Series

HDD: Samsung 300gb (PC is actually at my friend's house, where we've been working on it, and I'm a little stumped on which one I have exactly, without having it right in front of me to check.)

Basically, the display on my monitor refuses to show anything if it's plugged directly into the GPU. So far I can only get a display if I plug directly into my motherboard using the VGA port.

The GPU is connected to the motherboard properly, I've checked, also the fans & lights on the GPU turn on with the desktop as well. The lights sync to whenever I try to install the drivers, but the PC refuses to acknowledge it's connected and it doesn't show up in device manager or show up on NVIDIA's auto-detect.

Java, Flash, Windows are all up-to-date as well.

I've exhausted almost every resource online. I've found countless forum pages asking the exact same thing for my same GPU, but so far nothing has helped. Even the ones that are resolved.

Hi! I have exactly same motherboard (ASRock Z75 Pro3) and bought same Asus Strix card. It seems there is a conflict as my computer also doesn't see the card (no signal from GPU). I wonder if another gtx1050ti would work with this motherboard. What did you do? The problem got fixed anyhow? As far as I know updating BIOS is not an option as there were no releases since 2013...

Hi again. It seems that the problem is solved. Although I gave away the Strix I bought other 1050 ti (Low Profile version from Gigabyte) and the initial effect was same: no signal from GPU. I gave another try and inserted the card into the other PCIE slot (as there are two on the motherboard) and... It works!!! So I am pretty sure that Strix would work as well. The problem was that I gave my PC before to the computer shop and guys there did not figure same thing out! Also my previous GPU was working well with the slot that GTX 1050 ti did not like :)
