NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060

Hey Guys,

I'm planning to buy a GTX 1060 with twin frozr and 6GB VRAM of course but I'm unable to decide which will be the best.

Please help me

My Current Specs:-

CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.0 GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 MSI Armor OC edition

RAM: 32 GB DDR3
PSU: Cooler Master B700 v2 700 Watts

Case: ThermalTake Versa N21 ATX Mid Tower

Anything from MSI, Gigabyte, ASUS and EVGA will do nicely, and the best one to go for is the cheapest. I don't like Gainward, PNY or Palit that much as they look and feel cheap, but that's just my opinion.

With a case like yours, you should avoid a blower-type cooler.

if you are into color matching then go for one that matches your Motherboard's color and brand. You can always look for an Factory OC'ed card which will bring better performance.

Hate to be that guy but will a 1060 constitute much of an upgrade over the 960? I'm not familiar with the performance of either card, just putting the question out there...

the GTX 1060 is outperforms the GTX 970(by a little) so yes, it is an upgrade.

Oh, not bad. I haven't been keeping up with the specs since I'm not currently in the market, just wanted to make sure the OP wasn't buying a whole new card for minimal improvement.

That actually raises a good point though; the GTX 980 could be bought rather cheaply now. OP, you might want to consider looking into that.
