Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 6 and 8 pin question

Hi,

I am interested in replacing my GTX 970 with a GTX 1070 as specified. Upon investigation, however, I have a question. The specs for the 970 says it needs 2x 6 pins, whereas the 1070 needs an 8 pin. Would this be problematic? Could someone please explain this to me? I am a total noob when it comes to upgrading computers.

According to the specs from https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c04818332, it's an internal 500w.

I’ve opened my pc up, and I can’t seem to find what I need to. What I have found, however, are some numbers. There is this number first of all:
746177-002
And then there is the model number, which is:
DPS - 500AB - 20A.

I’ve scoured the Internet, and I’ve seen other numbers which are the same that are on psus build by Delta.

I’ve also found this from eBay:

It says it is a 6+2. I don’t know if its the same type, but the model number is exactly the same.
