Hi guys,
I've had my eye on this card for a short time
near brand new only £65.00 and I was wondering If i could at least play HD games on optimum settings.

My rig currently consists of:

AMD 6300 - 6 core processor
8 GB ram
Radeon HD 6450 500mb

and can run 75% of my games on medium to high settings and getting between 20 to 40fps

any help would be appreciated, the only reason i decided to post was because i had mixed opinions of the gpu and need further information

The aging HD 6970 would be the fastest of the cards listed. Actually, the even older GTX 480 would be about the same speed at gaming, but I'd opt for the newer HD 6970. They are both 250W TDP cards. So I hope your "750W" PSU is a good one and not a cheapie.

Thank you, and I don't care if they are brand new or midlife aslong as they work and unfortunately I am very low paid so approximately I'm aiming for about £60 - £100 or $90 - $150, but in regards to this I may need a different power supply I have a cooler master that if i add the 3v-5v & 12v I get 490W

What is the model of cooler master PSU? We need the +12V rail specs for the gfx card. Low end PSUs usually combine the 3 and 5 volt rails with the 12v rails to make the wattage look better than it really is. It's all about the +12V rail when it comes to gfx cards and CPUs. That's the rail (circuit) that does all the heavy work. But if you are limited to £100, this GTX 560 Ti would be a better performer: http://www.amazon.co.uk/GeForce-560TI-DirectCUII-PCI-E-Graphics/dp/B004K8R8DA/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1429650078&sr=1-1
Or even this HD 7790: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-HD7790-DDR5-PCI-E-Graphics/dp/B00DURD12Y/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1429650482&sr=1-2
But I'd have to know the PSU's +12V (alone) specs before I could recommend them.

Well ideally both, at the moment its just a thought for the future, as my rig is running fine.
I just wanted to know if there was a suitable replacement for an upgrade as in the future I aim to keep building on the pc

If you want a good air cooler at a decent price, the Cooler Master 212 EVO is usually the best air cooler for the price. It takes a bit of work to install it on the AM3+ socket, however. Nothing hard, just a bit time consuming.

If liq. cooling is your thing, I've been satisfied with the Corsair H60 on both my AMD and Intel builds. It's a bit more expensive than the 212 EVO, but the pump is a snap on replacement of the stock cooler with no need to remove the AMD retention bracket. And the rad/fan simply replaces the rear exhaust fan in most cases.
