Hi.

My Mobo is MSI B85i and I was running a Zotac GeForce GT 610 which works fine.

When I pop in the GTX 650 (the kind the gets power from the PCI, not direct from PSU), I get nothing.

I've checked the HDMI and the DVI, but not VGA as I have no VGA monitor.

Removing the card and firing up with the on-board and playing with BIOS (tyring to force PCI 3.0) doesn't make any difference: the 610 works, the 650 doesn't.

Any suggestions? The 650 is from eBay so it may have been damaged, who knows.

Thanks.

This is the non-TI version, similar to this one:

It has 1x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x VGA.

Are you sure it's well placed in the PCIe socket? Card may be damaged, since your other card works!

Yeah, the shuttle type case makes it very easy to see that the card is fully inserted properly.

I guess I'm leaning toward the card probably being DOA. Just wondered if it was defaulting to VGA for some reason, but I can't see that happening really.

Yeah, you probably just had luck with it, and its DOA. Try to get it back as soon as you can!
