Hey all! Im considering purchasing this card: EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2662-KR GeForce GTX 660 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

But I've been told not to because of certain issues like no overclocking and bad support for some games. and i was told to get the 650Ti or go all the way up to the 700 Series. I would really like to get this 660 because it is well within by budget but any of the 700 Series are not. Please tell me if the 66o is better or if I should just get the 650Ti?

Okay thats what i was thinking. Someone had told me that there were some sort of issues with it. I was wondering what kind of issues. If there aren't any problem or drawbacks then i will go ahead and get a 660

Every card can have some kind of issues it depends on manufacturer and a lot of other circumstances..
you can buy a 660 that will last you 5 years and you can buy another 660 that will last you 5 days. you get what I mean.

The GTX 660 is great for the price, and it can handle any game on High + FXAA @1080p.

The only drawback is the power limit for overclocking, and that the boost clock is determined by that rather low power limit, versus temps, like the GTX 700 series. But if you're getting the Superclocked version, I wouldn't even try to overclock it any more.

I have not seen any incompatibility with some games, other than some shadow corruption in TERA, and the original Portal not allowing some graphic settings to be changed to their highest. Works amazingly with PCSX2 and Dolphin, if you're into emulators, btw.

The other drawback, IMO, is the 192-bit memory interface, which limits fast VRAM access to 1.5GB instead of the whole 2GB. This is only a problem when you add a lot of MSAA or texture mods, but it's still an issue. The driver tries to keep it under 1536MB, but certain loads will cause it to go over, and then you get some stutters.

Honestly, I do wish I had coughed up the extra $60 and gotten a GTX 760, but I may be more demanding than a typical gamer. Love me some texture mods!
