Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 ti?

Hi, I'm building my first gaming PC soon, and the graphics card I want to get is the NVidia GeForce GTX 750 ti. Do you guys think it could run Overwatch on high? Also while you're here I have another question. How much can you tell the difference between 900p and 1080p? The monitor I want is 900p and it's a lot cheaper than a 1080p one. I'm used to Xbox 360/ One anyway so I'm not that huge on resolution (obviously)

What's your budget for a gaming PC. Are you buying a used system? That processor will struggle as it's older than the AM3 platform which is outdated as it is.

The cpu is a lot newer than am3 (2009 vs 2014) but it's a bad idea. You don't want to buy 3 year old hardware plus it was never really good when it first came out. Go with a pentium g4560. Also the 750ti is a bad idea since the 1050 was released at the same price.

I tell yah I need to start limiting my time everyday on here. Seems like by the second hour I missing stuff lol. Yesterday I completely missed a listed GPU and asked what he planned on using lol.

What's a good CPU that's made by AMD that's fairly cheap. (I'm an AMD loyalist) Wait a second, the 1050 was released at the same price? But now I can get a NEW 750ti for <$70 EDIT: You know what, I'm just gonna put my whole build on here, and you guys can suggest how to change it. I want to put the 750 ti in there, and a better CPU since apparently that one's old. With your budget and the games you want to play I'd suggest an FX-8350 and with that chip you'll need to select a different motherboard but everything else in your build should work with it. Just note with either your build or going to the Fx8350 there is no upgrade path.

I'm new to building PCs so what motherboard would you suggest?

OK thank you so much! By the way though, the main game I want to play is Overwatch, but the other games I wanted to play were TF2, Warframe, and possibly Starcraft 2. I should be able to run all of those with no problem right? I mean they are all pretty old, except Warframe. So do you think I could run Warframe at 60fps? EDIT: Also, I found a different HDD that costs less and has 1TB, this might be a stupid question, but can hard drives really go outdated? While you can build a "console killer" for a decent price like you have here, they won't last as long as a console would. You don't have to save for a top of the line build but I would save enough to get a nice current generation medium spec'd rig that'll last you 2 to 3 years before the next upgrade.

Speaking from a recently converted member of the console generation I'd chime in a bit. So when a game is build for consoles it's specifically optimized for that hardware and that hardware only. When they do a PC port of those games they essentially have to unoptimize it build it to work with all kinds of different iterations of hardware. This generally leads to higher min specs for the same game. Even if it is a well optimized game there are noticeable differences such as proximity to the screen. We'll take my 27 inch monitor as an example. If I watch a 720p video on a console on a TV that size it won't look that bad due to the distance from the screen. I try to play the same vid on my monitor and it looks terrible. You're closer to the screen so the details pop out more and you'll also notice the chop in 30fps games more. This is generally why you see us in the PC gaming community on the hunt for higher and higher graphics so we can see those details and the beauty of them. We know people are new but what you have to understand is many people build a system just like yours and end up unhappy and then want to upgrade to a more powerful system. For example this is costing you something like $400 to build but it's 5 year old parts that will be obsolete in the near future. So lets say next year you want to upgrade you need to spend another 4 to 500 to do that. That's 8 to 900 in 2 years when for 7 or 800 you can build a system that'll last 3 years. That's why we try to steer people to the newer hardware and at least something with an upgrade path so you save on future costs.

The lower end ryzen won't be released anytime soon unfortunately and the cheapest one right now is $165. I'd try stretching the budget to fit it in. It'll save money in the long run and you won't be disappointed by the performance for future games. You can squeeze it into the same budget actually.

I like the look of that case, and it's cheaper than the one you picked. And the RAM,(yes I know this sounds super picky) I'm going to make the theme of my setup black and blue, and I also like to see inside the PC, so it would be cool if the RAM was also blue.

I noticed that the RAM you picked was DDR4 and the RAM I picked was DDR3 so I'm assuming the one you picked is better in some aspect, but I don't know what those do :/

Ddr3 will physically not fit. You'd have to mix sizes 8+4=12 which is not recommended. The case is fine. I assume you said it's cheaper because you are sticking with newegg and amazon? What is your budget?
