[citation][nom]hell_storm2004[/nom]GTX460 SLI would beat GTS450 SLI any day. So if you have the budget go for GTX460 SLI day. Equals HD5970 and costs $100 less![/citation]
...there's a much larger difference in price then that. The GTX460 1GB SLI can be found for around $460, while the HD5970 is still closer to $690. In most cases there's over a $200 difference.

Its no longer news. Its leaking instead. So much more exiting when its drip drip out of a corner somewhere.... Not really. Just a sign that there is no news worthy news out there. So they are scraping the bottom.

No one who wants to do gaming with any level of enjoyability gives a two-bit about these products.

Current gaming STARTS at 2x GTX 460's in SLI, or a single HD 5850, and goes up from there.

someone here doesn't know the difference between "and" and "or"
can u figure out which post that was?

Ok in about 4 hours crazy Charlie is going to tell you how this chip sucks, is going to tell you he scooped the size. Say all the same rhetoric he has been spewing for years. Then all his parrots can debate how he's right. A regular Nostradamus.

I love how people list MSRP prices because those are never used when it comes to graphics cards except when they're at the top of the line for a week, then it starts to seperate. ANY good GTX 460 can be had for 200 USD.

[citation][nom]cronik93[/nom]How about fill the gap between the GTX 470 and 480Really becuase the 5850 out performs the GTX470[/citation]

singly, they go back and forth, with the GTX470 a little faster on average. Dual card, the GTX470 beats down the 5850 like mad, and even gives the 5870 a good run for less money. In addition, nvidia has less troublesome drivers. While the bugs might be about even, the usability of the nvidia drivers is far better, and it recognizes dual cards far more easily.

I researched these two cards, the GTX470 and the Radeon 5850, for about 3 months before I finally bought a GTX470. I certainly wasn't wrong. I've got mine overclocked to 775 with no problems, giving almost the same performance as the GTX480. I plan on buying a second when I get the money together.
