Yes, it needs to be upgraded. If it will fit, which it should, I'd highly recommend the Antec VP-450. You won't find another unit that is AS GOOD as that one at a similar price. Way below the cost of other quality units that are comparable.
Not sure what cpu you have they rang from i7 to i3 but your 240w power supply may need upgrading too. Not sure if it would have the 6 pin plug for the GPU. You do have a x16 pci-e slot so it'll plug in
device is core i5, has 1 pci x16(2.o) slot , psu 500 watts,
o common i've checked msi gtx 650 oc its dimension is l=5.7 inches n h=4.01
whereas my device supports l=6.6" n h= 4.2"
i thnk theres no chance d card willn't wrk.
No I'm talking about how far the card come out but I can't see it being wider than the power supply. As for the VGA thing you can buy adapters. You can go from the DVI to VGA
If the dimensions are compatible then you should be fine aside from possibly the PSU. The product page shows it needing a 6 pin power cable, although I'm not certain on your model as you don't list an exact model number. If it does, your OEM PSU likely doesn't have the necessary connector. It also likely doesn't have the capacity as the specs for the card call for a 400w PSU and that rig comes with either a 240w or 320w, depending on the sub-model.
That card has a VGA output, so it doesn't matter. You don't need any adapters if your monitor is VGA or DVI.
For your own benefit, I'll repeat what we tell everybody. Don't buy a cheap ass PSU. Get a Tier 3 (Absolute minimum) or preferably, a Tier 2B or higher PSU of 400w minimum, as listed on the Tier list or has a very good review from a reputable review site like jonnyGURU or Tom's.
You'll also need to make sure it fits your case. Since that's not a standard ATX case, it may have an odd size or odd form factor power supply. Some of the HP, Dell, Compaq, Gateway and other branded computers have been known to use their own proprietary PSUs as well which in some cases don't even have a standard ATX board or 24 pin power cable. Verify all these things before you make any purchases.
If your talking thickness then it would take up 2 slots in the back of your computer. Do you have two?
And sorry I was looking at the 750 ti from another thread so yeah you guys, there is VGA. 😗
Looking at the most common boards that apparently came in that model, it seems you should be fine even with a dual width card so long as you're not using the adjascent x1 PCI slot, which is the short ones.
i'm even looking 4 anthr 1,
