NVIDIA Graphics Card Not Detected Only Intel HD Graphics 4000

Hey everyone, I will start this from the beginning.

So yesterday I noticed my NVIDIA driver was WAY outdated. So I went to update. It said something along the lines or No Compatible Hardware Found. So I was a bit nervous. I read some forums and looked on this site, and found to delete all the files of NVIDIA. So I did that. Then tried to re-install the driver. Once again did not work. I am really panicking, and I don't want to use the Intel card. My NVIDIA card doesn't even show under Display Adapters. Please help!

The NVIDIA card I use: GT 650

Edit: Also below the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is a strange adapter called "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter"

unplug it from your pci express slot and boot up then shut down plug it in and boot up it should say new hardware found....if that doesn work checkin the BIOS and selected your card to use as your video adaptor then you can see if it works if not check to see if it is device manager under the display adaptors

Well the strange "strange adapter called "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" is your Nvidia card so as suggested above power down remove the card. Then let Windows boot up with the igpu power down re-insert the card and boot up and see if Windows will detect the card. If not you could have a bad card or bad PCI-E slot.
