Nvidia Gsync on Freesync monitor, win7

Hello there,
I have Samsung C27FG73 Monitor, which supports Freesync, so now also for Nvidia cards the "Gsync compatible" option (VESA Adaptive-Sync). The only issue I have is that I'm running win7 OS, which is now ?"not supporting"? the option to turn Gsync on, even though I have EVGA GTX 1070, which can run it thanks to new drivers.
Is there any way to enable GSYNC on win7 or will I have to upgrade to win10 to run it?

Seems Win 10 is a must to do this.
